About Main Street

Historic preservation is the foundation for College Park's Main Street Revitalization. Design standards and zoning ordinances serve to guide current and future projects on the mile-long historic business corridor.

Through assistance from the College Park Development/Main Street Office, new specialty business are replacing once vacant storefronts and traditional business. Successful business recruitment incentives, including a public-private partnership, have brought life to numerous historic buildings on Main Street. Creating exciting shopping venues for residents and visitors in this metro-Atlanta community.

Located in the heart of major transportation systems - Hartsfield Atlanta International Airport, MARTA rapid transit, interstate highways and a railway - College Park's Main Street District serves as the gateway to Georgia's global city. Here are just a few of our main street businesses:

The Brake Pad
Boston has Cheers, while College Park has the Brake Pad. This old gas station turned local bar and eatery has turned out to be a great place to relax with friends on the patio and watch the trains go by, especially in warm weather.

Off the Boulevard Salon

fina, Your Italian Bistro
No town is complete without a local Italian restaurant. This corner shop towards the south end of the downtown district, bring a large menu to fill the desire for all kinds of Italian food.

Other businesses on Main Street and the surrounding area are: The Feed Store, Manchester Arms, 5th Runway, The Hosiery Stop, Trophy Trends, Metro Sporting Goods, College Park Shoes, Noodles, and Lunch on Main to name a few.
