Community Yard Sale

HCPNA is organizing our 2nd annual community yard sale for all residents of the Historic District of College Park.

With more than 50 homes signed up for our 1st yard sale in October 2010, we believe that this event will be a yearly success. Having a community sale is a major opportunity for sellers and buyers alike.

  • Date: October 15th 2011
  • Times: 8:00 am-3:00 pm
  • Where: At multiple homes in Historic College Park
(basically north of Temple, both sides of Main St.)
  • GPS locator: Use 3413 Main St College Park

Update:The College Park Woman’s Club will be having a Breakfast Drive-Up and Take-Away in conjunction with the Community Yard Sale.  If you are having a Yard Sale that day, you may pre-order your breakfast to be delivered to you between 7:45am and 8:30am.  Contact Tina Deaver at tinadeaver@gmail.com or 404-394-1678 for an order form.  They will also have a tent set up at the CPWC for participants and shoppers to come by and pick up breakfast.

Update: Registration is now open.  You may pay via Paypal (accepts credit cards) or by check.   For details please contact Rick Pierce at yardsale@hcpna.org .

Update: On July 18th we received approval from the College Park City Council for the placing of promotional signs several days before the sale as well as directional signs the day of the sale. We will also be able to register participants as a group rather than requiring each homeowner to apply in person. Please note that the two yard sale per year limit is still in affect for this event. If you have already had two sales this year, you will not be able to participate in this group yard.sale event.
Registration is
now closed.

Here are the guidelines for those who have registered:

  • Fee to participate: $10/participating house.
  • Link to Paypal Page
  •  This will allow the HCPNA yard sale committee to place ads in the newspapers and online, notification and directional signs throughout the neighborhood (with the city's approval since it is a group activity). Also the sale will be posted on a distributed map, and each sale will receive a balloon and have yard signs pointing to their location.
  • Donations: Each sale will have the opportunity for a charity organization to pick-up unsold items after the sale.
